Darwin Olympics: Woman Asks Officer for Ride to Broken Down Car

Meanwhile in California . . .

A woman is facing some jail time because she didn’t want to walk six blocks.

. . . OK, there’s more to the story than that . . .

Lynette Stewart (37) ran out of gas in Lincoln, California (just outside of Sacramento) and went to the gas station to fill up a can.

She noticed a police officer nearby, flagged him down, and asked if he would mind taking her to her car, six blocks away.

The officer obliged, and drove Lynette to her ride . . . and decided to run her plates upon arrival (as officers do).

That’s when the officer learned Lynette’s car actually belonged to someone else . . . who had reported it STOLEN a day earlier!!

Lynette was arrested for vehicle theft . . . and, as it turns out, drug possession as well!

Probably should have just walked those 6 blocks . . . or maybe don’t break the law.
