Darwin Olympics Winner: Ringtone Foils Thief’s Escape

Meanwhile in Washington…

A 28 year-old fella names Sean Kelley got caught speeding last month, and then fled from the officer who tried to pull him over.

Kelley thought he avoided the drama when he found a sports bar, threw his car into park and ran inside.

Another patron pointed Kelley out when police arrived, and that’s when they approached Kelley, who insisted he hadn’t been driving and that he’d been in the bar ALL NIGHT.  Kelley was super cooperative though and gave the officers his information, including his phone number.

When police called his phone, that’s when Kelley realized he left it….in his car.

Get this, though — His ringtone of choice?  The theme song from the TV show “COPS”.

Sean was sited for speeding and arrested for attempting to elude police, obstruction AND driving with a suspended license.

One day, we’re sure Sean Kelley will appreciate the irony of all this.   One day…
