Meanwhile in Oregon . . .
A couple car thieves got their hands on a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and stole it from Joe Williams (55), a Portland resident.
A week later, police found the vehicle abandoned.
Joe and his kids (teenagers) were looking through the car to see what all was missing and/or damaged, and came across an old disposable camera in the glove box from back in the day — so, Joe’s kids decided to get the photos developed.
There were some old family photos from the 90s on the camera, but that wasn’t all . . . the two thieves had taken some selfies with the disposable camera, too!
Photos. Totally. Showing. Their. Faces.
While there are people in the neighborhood who claimed to recognize the thieves in the photos, there won’t be any arrests made because Joe doesn’t want to press charges.
He says he doesn’t want to bother turning them over to police because, “the Jeep’s older than dirt,” and “when I bought my new car, I was going to trade it in. The dealer offered $65 for it.”
Maybe the thieves realized all of this when they ditched the ’90s ride and forgot about the ’90s disposable camera.
Side note . . . the thieves left behind some tattoo equipment Joe really wanted to keep, but his wife said no, so he just left it out on the front porch and “someone stole it.”
