Darwin Olympics: Thief Runs Face First Into Door While Trying to Make His Getaway

Meanwhile in New Mexico . . .

Dude robs a pizza shop, but his getaway wasn’t as graceful as he may have planned.

Markell Barnes (19) hit up a Pizza Hut a few months ago, but his exit had a hiccup when he tried to run out the door one the one side . . . that was LOCKED!

Face. First.

He was able to get out a different door and make his getaway.

However, dude hit that locked door so hard that police were able to pull his DNA left behind on the glass to identify him.

They swabbed that door . . . sent the specimen to the lab . . . and – boomshakalaka – they had a match!

Turns out Markell was already in their system from another robbery that happened in June.

Authorities were able to track Markell down last week and place him under arrest.

Turns out, they also linked him to a different robbery that took place the same day as the Pizza Hut robbery.

So . . . dude is looking at charges on attempted armed robbery AND aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
