Darwin Olympics: Someone Microwaved Oreos and Set Their Home on Fire

Proof that there aren’t always arrests made, nor is criminal activity present for every winner in our Darwin Olympics.

Meanwhile in Florida . . .

Someone was practicing an age old way of getting some soft store-bought cookies . . . by tossing them in the microwave.

We’ve all been there before, putting some Entennmann’s Chocolate Chip cookies in the microwave — or even the Keeble Soft Batch cookies — to get that fresh from the oven sensation in your mouth.

Not sure how many of us have ever nuked some Oreos, though.

(To each their own, though . . . Right?)

Well, there is a right way and a wrong way to microwave cookies . . . and we’ll put this one in the “wrong way” category . . .

Some warmed-up Oreo cookie lover in Estero, Florida put some Oreos in their microwave — wrapper and all!

Yes, WRAPPER AND ALL!

EVERYTHING!

According to the fire department, the plastic with small amounts of metal in the printing on the package sparked and caused the microwave to catch fire . . . which spread throughout the rest of the motor home.

The fire caused SIGNIFICANT damage . . . but, thankfully, no one was hurt.

Want to see a picture? Sure you do . . .

HERE YOU GO!

We’re going to call this one “Darwinism at it’s finest.”
