Darwin Olympics: Robber Can’t Get Cash, So He Grabs Fried Chicken Instead

A Popeyes restaurant in New Orleans got hit up by a robber on Monday afternoon, but didn’t have any of their cash taken. Dude totally couldn’t get the cash register to open!
Phillip Lee (27) panicked when the register seemed jammed, but didn’t want his robbery efforts to be in vain . . . so he grabbed some friend chicken and took off.
Police were able to track the fried chicken bandit down and arrested his tail feather on allegations of simple robbery and battery charges.
Dude was in court later that same day where Magistrate Judge Brigid Collins put his bond at $13,500.
