Darwin Olympics: Prison Break Thwarted By Letter Sent to Wrong Person

Meanwhile in North Carolina . . .

A prison break plan was thwarted when the master mind behind the attempt sent the plans in a letter to the wrong person.

One woman that had absolutely nothing to do with the escape plot received a letter from the Alamance County Detention Center. Of course she opened the letter, thinking it was for her, when she saw the detailed plans.

The letter contained a drawing of the jail, along with instructions to make a bomb and plans for the escape route.

The woman alerted authorities, who then didn’t have much trouble tracking their wrong-mailer down.

The sender is Sean Castorina, a 43 year old serving time on first degree murder charge, and now he gets to add the upcoming charges for his escape plot, including manufacturing/assembling a weapon of mass destruction as well as felony conspiracy.

Additional evidence of the plot was found in Castorina’s jail cell . . . AND recorded conversations on the phones at the detention center.

The accomplices who were the letter’s intended recipients (allegedly)are 23 year old Shannon Gurkin and 24 year old Dakota Markek.  According to the sheriff’s office reports, Gurkin and Markek are “followers” of Castorina . . .   The 23 & 24 year old are being charged with malicious use of an explosive to damage property.

Oh yea, and this isn’t Castorina’s first escape attempt of the year either.  Dude tried to escape from the annex unit in early 2018.
