Some rascal has been vandalizing campaign signs for a congressman named Jeff Fortenberry.

The individual used some tape to change Fortenberry’s name to “Fartenberry,” and even added some big googly eyes over his.

Unfortunately, the masterminded vandal wasn’t smart enough to use gloves, so police were able to pull fingerprints off the googly eyes and found their culprit — Patricia Wonch Hill, a sociology researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Here’s the kicker . . . her prints were already on file from a previous citation when she vandalized Senator Deb Fischer’s door a year earlier.

Looks like Patty is now facing up to six months in jail and a $500 fine.
