Darwin Olympics: Police Rescue Car Thief Trapped In . . . Stolen Car

Thievin’ ain’t easy!

Meanwhile in England . . .

A not-so-skilled criminal — umm — “car thief” tried to steal a Ford Focus recently.

Someone noticed a guy sitting inside the Ford Focus and felt like he was “acting suspiciously,” so they alerted authorities.

Birmingham police showed up and quickly realized what was wrong . . .

Dude. Was. Trapped. In. The. Car.

Seeings how it wasn’t the guy’s car, he didn’t have the keys . . . but, no clue how the chickens the dude locked himself INSIDE the car!

Then, police noticed the car had a fake license plate, and had actually been reported stolen.

Authorities rescued him, of course, and promptly arrested the dude for car theft.

Check out this PHOTO from the scene of the crime . . .

Someone on Twitter even tweeted about the story, “Definite duture candidate for the Darwin Awards. Amazing he’s made it though life this far!”

Accurate. Highly accurate.

He would have gotten away with it, too . . . it if weren’t for that pesky car!!
