Darwin Olympics: Ohio Man De-Weeds with Blow Torch

Meanwhile in Ohio . . .

Example #347 on how NOT to handle weeds: Do Not Use a Blow Torch

Three homes in Newburgh Heights, Ohio caught on fire when a homeowner decided to use a blow torch on some weeds around his house — but then, his truck caught on fire . . . exploded . . . and lit the other homes up like New Year’s Eve.

The good news is the pyro-homeowner also owned those three other homes, and there were no injuries reported.

Several crews from other fire departments responded to help extinguish the flames, and the State Fire Marshall’s office was called to assist in the investigation.

The Broadview Heights Fire Department shared some photos on Facebook.
