Darwin Olympics: Officer Catches Fugitive When She Fake Proposes to Him

Meanwhile in India . . .

A police officer used the whole CATFISHING thing to her advantage to nab a wanted murderer!

True story . . .

Balkishan Chaubey was wanted in Uttar Pradesh for several crimes — including murder — but kept finding ways to elude police.

When authorities learned the dude was looking to get married, a police officer called him up, acting like it was a wrong number, and kept chatting.

The phone conversations went on for about a week, and that’s when the officer pulled the trigger on her plan . . . proposing to the fugitive!

Dude totally said YES, and they scheduled their wedding — things obviously work differently when it comes to weddings in some parts of India than they do here in the states.

The wedding date was set for this past Thursday, and when Balkishan showed up . . . his fiancée arrested him!

Dude’s now chillin’ in jail . . and likely feeling a bit heartbroken.
