Darwin Olympics: Man Wants Memories Gone, So He Burns Down His House

Meanwhile in Kentucky . . .

Alex Probus, a 31 year old in Louisville, KY, had some painful memories he wanted to get rid of.

His solution?  To burn down his house.

No word exactly on what those memories were, but we’re going to go ahead and say this may have been an overreaction.

Police arrived on the scene, when Probus admitted to starting the fire to “get rid of memories.”

While there may have been a method to his madness, this was not the best way to go about it.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control before it could spread, and, fortunately, no one was hurt.

Alex is now facing charges of second-degree arson.

While he is today’s winner in Fletch and Jai’s “Darwin Olympics,” we do hope whatever trauma Probus experienced that led to him wanting to torch his childhood home gets addressed, and he finds healing.
