Darwin Olympics: Man Reports Wife’s Snoring to Police

You may already know that 911 is for emergencies only, but some people have their own definitions on what constitutes an “emergency.”

A man in England recently called 999 (the British version of 911) to report an issue:  his wife was snoring WAY too loud, claiming she sounded like a “motorbike” and he didn’t know what to do.

While I’m sure annoyed, the dispatched suggested he take his wife to see a doctor when she wakes up, and let him know that this was in fact NOT AN EMERGENCY.

Police never went to check on the couple, so the guy was able to avoid felony charges for abusing the emergency system, though we’re not sure the sleeping arrangements of this couple…
