Darwin Olympics: Man Claims Car Chase Was the Ferrari’s Fault

Meanwhile in Florida . . .

One may find themselves behind the wheel of a Ferrari, and, naturally, one would want to see just how fast it could go, perhaps . . . and that seems to be what happened with Gabriel Molina (29) from Miami.

Gabriel found himself behind the wheel of a pretty stellar whip in the Florida Keys; not sure if he was renting it or borrowed it, but he just couldn’t resist putting the pedal to the metal and making that baby purrrrrrrr.

Welp, and officer spotted Gabriel doing over 75 mph in a 45 zone . . . but when he went to pull the sports car and its driver over, Gabriel took off at about 100 mph!

The chase ended when the officer caught up to Mr Speedy-Speederson who STOPPED FOR GAS!

Gabriel told the police officer that he didn’t see him, and that he was just speeding for the sake of speeding because, “The car is a Ferrari, and it goes fast.”

However, Gabriel had a lady friend in the passenger seat who gave the officer a different story — that Gabriel did see the cruiser but wanted to try and outrun him.

Gabriel was promptly arrested and is now looking at charges for fleeing and eluding. Turns out, dude already has nine traffic convictions over the past 6 years, and one includes going 100 mph in a 55 zone.
