Darwin Olympics: Man Blows Up House Trying to Rid it of Bugs

Meanwhile in Texas . . .

A man was dealing with quite a bug infestation and, rather than asking Google the best way to rid his home of bugs, he decided to douse himself with brake-cleaning fluid to get the bugs off of him and proceeded to vacuum them up.

Dude missed the memo on the brake-cleaning fluid canister that the fumes were EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE!!

While he was vacuuming, the vacuum sparked, igniting the brake-cleaning fluid fumes and causing an EXPLOSION in his home, blowing out a whole wall of his double-wide trailer!

When first responders got to the scene, they found the man in critical condition,  naked, and with second and third degree burns covering most of his body.

Guy is recovering at Hermann Memorial Hospital, but is still not well enough for police to ask a lot of questions.

Authorities did release information on finding a bunch of empty brake-cleaner cans in his house, but no mention on if any bugs were actually spotted.

Police are suspecting drugs/alcohol possibly played a part in Dude’s decision making.
