Darwin Olympics: Guy Tries to Rob His Brother’s Place of Employment

You would think thieves would try to do whatever they could to hide their identity, but that’s not always the case.

Meanwhile in Indiana . . .

Shaun Yoakum (42) went into a store in Lafayette with a knife in hand, ready to rob the location.

Unfortunately for him, the employees at the store knew exactly who he was!

How? . . . Well, Shawn’s brother was the cashier!

The brother and another employee closed the protective glass around the checkout area so Shawn had to leave empty handed.

Then, they called authorities and were able to give an exact identification for the police report.

Knowing where Shawn lives thanks to the information from his own brother, police found the not-so-great-at-his-job-of-thievin’ thief in the alley behind his house only a few blocks away from the store.

Dude wasn’t going to be taken in without a fight, though. Police had to tase the guy and even shot him with a beanbag before he finally dropped the knife.

Shawn is now facing charges for attempted robbery, resisting arrest, and there’s a third charge for an outstanding warrant . . . so add that one to the list.

Oh, and HERE is his mugshot.
