Darwin Olympics: Guy Steals Cab to Drive to Six Flags

Meanwhile in New York . . .

Anyone who’s seen the movie “National Lampoon’s Vacation” can appreciate this one!

Some guy in NY hijacked a cab earlier last week in an attempt to venture across state lines into New Jersey to hit up Six Flags amusement park, totally unaware it hadn’t opened for the season yet.

Had Jonathan Gualpa (19) waited a couple more weeks and found a legal way to get to Six Flags, he’d be sitting pretty on those thrill rides when they actually open on April 6.

Turns out, dude never even made it out of Manhattan before police caught up to him, thanks to the GPS device in the stolen cab.

Authorities didn’t even have to chase Jonathan down and pull him over. By the time they’d tracked the 19 year old down, he taking a nap in the backseat of the cab.

Dude’s now facing charges for receiving stolen property.

(Umm, “receiving” stolen property? Seems like there’s more to this story and we want to know everything!)
