Darwin Olympics: Guy Negotiates with Carjacker to Keep His Ride

Meanwhile in Missouri . . .

A carjacker realized his phone was more important than the car he was trying to steal.

Jonathan Neukomm (33) is a restaurant manager in St. Louis, and on Monday night while taking a break in his car, he got carjacked!

The carjacker walks up, points a gun at Jonathan, and demands he get out of the car and handover the keys.

Jonathan exited his ride, and was trying to convince the carjacker that none of this was worth it. The carjacker wasn’t having it and tried to shoot Jonathan in the leg, but, fortunately, the gun jammed.

Jonathan used the moment to toss his keys up on the roof of the building, because he’d be able to go up later and grab them. However, Jonathan didn’t throw them hard enough and the keys landed on the ground right by the building.

When the carjacker ran to grab the keys, he dropped his phone, so Jonathan grabbed it, and started negotiating with the dude . . . his phone for the car keys.

Dude wanted his phone to he accepted the trade, tossed Jonathan his keys, grabbed his phone and took off.

Authorities are still working to track the carjacker down.
