Darwin Olympics: Guy Fleeing Authorities Caught Thanks to Wrong Fuel in Gas Tank

Meanwhile in Oregon . . .

Some dude named Jeremy Thomas (34) got into a pretty heated argument with his stepdad when dude pulled out a gun.

Jeremy fired a shot that, fortunately, didn’t hit anyone, then took off with his girlfriend and three year old daughter when his stepdad called the police.

Authorities put out a description of his vehicle and, a few hours later, received a tip from a tow truck driver.

Realizing his getaway car was low on gas, Jeremy broke into a barn to steal some.

Problem was, he stole DIESEL!!!  Spoiler Alert: the engine in Jeremy’s ride seized up.

Police found Jeremy and placed him under arrest for charges on menacing, pointing a firearm at another person, unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon.  (So . . . guess there’s way more of a backstory there, too.)

Oh yeah, police also tacked on two burglary and theft charges for that diesel fuel he stole.
