Darwin Olympics: Fugitive Runs Into Haunted Cave to Escape Authorities

This story is so on trend for the season it almost hurts, but in the best way possible!

Meanwhile in Arkansas . . .

A man wanted by police found a hiding spot and was feeling pretty sure authorities wouldn’t find him, and if they did they might not keep coming after him.

The hiding spot . . . was a cave.  A dangerous cave. A dangerous, HAUNTED cave.

YUP! Let that all sink in.

Joshua Vanesch (42) of Lonoke, Arkansas was wanted by the U.S. Marshals on drug charges; and, when authorities were closing in on him, dude ran into Blowing Cave . . . known for it’s paranormal activity.

Fun fact: the cave was actually closed that day because a film crew was inside investigating some of the paranormal activity people have reported.

When the owner of the cave saw Joshua run into the cave, he called the police to report a trespasser.

Blowing cave is not only haunted, but is pretty dangerous and not the easiest to get through . . . and Joshua wound up stuck in the haunted cave OVERNIGHT!

It wasn’t until the next afternoon when a crew finally located Joshua, got him out of the cave and transported to the hospital.

As if the original charges Joshua was wanted on wasn’t enough, he’s now looking at a slew of additional charges — including fleeing, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing.
