Darwin Olympics: Facebook Post Helps Authorities Catch Fugitive

Meanwhile in Colorado . . .

28 year old Bryan Sohn has been on the run and wanted on multiple felony warrants for failure to comply on burglary charges.

Well, thanks to social media, he’s finally been caught.

When Bryan’s ’95 Volkswagen broke down on the Vail Pass earlier this week, he turned to a local Facebook Group and posted for help, even including his phone number.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office caught word and told people NOT to pick him up, but offered Bryan another number in an attempt to get the dude to turn himself in.

Later, the Avon Police Department got word from the Colorado State Patrol Bryan’s car was being towed to a home in Avon, so officers and deputies with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office met up with the fugitive at the residence.

Bryan tried to give a false name, but failed the field fingerprint scanner. Once authorities confirmed Bryan’s true identity, they took him in and booked him at the Eagle County Detention Facility.
