Darwin Olympics: Ex-Con Burglarizes Homes in Effort to Go Back to Jail

This isn’t exactly the first story about an ex-convict wanting to be arrested again and go back to jail . . . but the reason may be a first!

Meanwhile in France . . .

A 25 year old man from Toulouse, France had gotten out of prison not long ago, before being arrested in a string of burglaries when authorities found his DNA from saliva on the scene.

The guy admitted to police he has intentionally spit all over the homes he broke into because he WANTED TO GET CAUGHT!

Why did he want to get caught?

Glad you asked . . .

Because, apparently, they have a premium TV channel called Canal+  for free in prison, which typically runs about $11 per month for their non-incarcerated customers.

The channel has movies, and sports, and even some imported TV series like “Killing Eve” and “The Big Bang Theory.”

The court ordered a psych evaluation before deciding whether to send him back to prison to watch TV or not.

Anyway, the court ordered a psych evaluation of this guy before deciding on a verdict to send him back to prison or a medical institution.

The verdict was cast last week, but that part of the report is written in French . . . soooooo . . . to be continued . . . .
