Meanwhile in Florida . . .
(Look, we don’t look for these stories to always be in Florida . . . but they keep finding us.)
There may be times in life when you want to make a small over-under bet with a friend . . . and this is NOT one of those occasions.
Mary Westerlund (62) was pulled over under suspicion of drunk driving on her was home to The Villages — which is a notorious retirement community because so many of the older residents are constantly getting hammered.
While going over the field sobriety test with the officer, Mary asked the officer if he wanted to bet the over-under on her blood-alcohol level (because, why wouldn’t she).
Even though the officer declined Mary’s inquiry to bet a quarter, she still played along by herself and guessed she’d hit .19 (which is more than twice the legal limit, BTW).
How did the solo gambler come up with her over-under bet, you ask?
Because the LAST TIME Mary had a DUI, back in 2015, she blew a .175 (just under double the legal limit), and must have been feeling a bit drunker this time around.
Drunker this time around she was . . . Mary blew just under a .23 (the legal limit is .08; do your own math here).
Mary arrested and charged with drunk driving, along with resisting arrest.
