Darwin Olympics: Coyote Assists in Arrest for Wanted Man

Meanwhile in Canada . . .

Police got quite an assist in the most National Geographic type of way . . . we borderline “can’t even!”

Howick (Ontario, Canada) officers received a call about a wanted guy (28) who might be in the area. Dude was wanted on various charges, like car theft . . . failing to stop for police . . . violating probation . . . and more.

When authorities located his truck, the followed the footprint which ended at a large tree.

The police officers looked up . . . and there dude was!

He’d climbed about 30 feet up and was hiding in the tree.

One might easily think the guy was hiding in the tree from police . . . but, alas, that wasn’t the true story — he was hiding from a COYOTE!

Apparently, the coyote had been chasing him, so the dude climbed the tree to escape . . . and kind of just kept climbing.

When police told him to climb back down, the guy was all too happy to oblige as he had been up there for some time, afraid to come down that the coyote might be near be . . . and he was FREEZING!!

He was promptly arrested, and dude probably couldn’t have been happier!
