Darwin Olympics: Burglar Thinks Unmarked Police Car is His Lyft

Meanwhile in New Jersey . . .

Nicholas Maziot (28) is a burglar who thought the house he’d just hit was vacant. Turns out, the residents were home, and when they woke up to the uninvited house guest, the called the police.

Nicholas bolted out of an upstairs window and jumped off the roof to get away.

He knew he needed a getaway ride, so he ordered a Lyft, but here’s where things took a wide left for Nicholas . . .

Instead of following the safety feature on the Lyft app and double checking the make of the vehicle he’d ordered, he just hopped into the first car that pulled up — an unmarked POLICE CAR!!!

He was easily arrested and is now facing charges for burglary, criminal mischief, attempted theft, possession of burglary tools and trespassing.
