Darwin Olympics: Burglar Slips on Ice, Never Let’s Go of Stolen TV

It’s funny when people fall . . . but, not so much when someone actually gets hurt.

Oh . . . who are we kidding  . . this one is still funny!

Meanwhile in Nebraska . . .

Being a criminal has some serious occupational hazards, let’s be real.

A duo of thieves broke into a Lincoln, Nebraska apartment one afternoon last week to . . . you know . . . steal some things.

As they were making their getaway, one of the burglars slipped on some ice while carrying a TV . . . and dude fell HARD!

The apartment’s 18 year old tenant knew the burglars and called the police on them.

The victim told police the guy stealing her TV was still writhing in pain on the ground — TV still in hand — and screaming that he’d broken his leg.

However, before police arrived, the two burglars managed to get in their getaway truck and make their escape . . . but, not for long.

The hospital alerted police a man arrived with a severely broken leg, and when officers arrived their were able to identify the man as their wanted suspect!

So, get this . . . because of the extent of the dude’s injured leg . . . he’s going to be chilling in the hospital for quite some time to receive treatment before being arrested and taken into custody.

Authorities found over $2,000 dollars worth of stolen items (including the TV dude slipped on ice while holding, a phone, a wallet with some cash inside, and other stuff) in the getaway ride while it was still in the hospital parking lot!

His name wasn’t released, but his partner’s was!

Sherry L. Gomez (35) was the other suspected who was taken into custody on arrest charges for burglary.
