Darwin Olympics: Burglar Pretends to Be Santa Claus . . . Doesn’t Work

Meanwhile in Wisconsin . . .

This story is so on point for the season — but maybe would have worked if it happened on Christmas Eve.

Last week, a guy broke into a home in Sparta to burglarize it, but when the dogs started barking and the people in the house came to see what the commotion was all about, dude hid in a closet.

Kabian Coleman (32) was trapped in the closet, and when the homeowners easily figured out where he was hiding because the dogs were staring at it barking, they tried to open the door . . . and Kabian did his best to hold the door shut.

Then . . . and did the next best thing he could think of — dude yelled out “HO HO HO!”

Yes . . . he pretended to be Santa Claus and encouraged the homeowners NOT to open the closet door or it would ruin their Christmas surprise.

EVERYONE KNOWS Santa is busy this time of year and makes his home visits on CHRISTMAS EVE!!

Nice try dude . . .

While the people went to call 911, the totally not Santa guy jumped out of the closet to make a run for it . . . but did manage to steal a few things from their garage.

THEN, Kabian runs to the neighbors house and breaks into THEIR garage!

Not even joking!

Police were easily able to track Kabian down by the footprints he left in the snow on his way to the neighbors and found him there.

Dude said he was actually on his way to the police station to turn himself in before police found him — yeah, right — and he’s now looking at charges for burglary, trespassing AND resisting arrest.
