One home burglar had a real facepalm moment when he burglarized a home, but missed the part about taking things with you and not leaving things behind in his Thievery 101 class.

Kelix Moon (21) broke into a Holly Hill home and stole a couple of items — a scooter, a skateboard and a weed eater — and even got into a fight with the person who lived there.

Police arrived, but Kelix had already made his getaway . . . without his motel room key!

So, authorities went to the Twi-Light Motel, put the key in the door to room nine . . .

and there was Kelix chillin’ inside.

Dude was arrested for burglary, grand theft, and battery.
