Darwin Olympics: Breaking and Entering with a Side of Fries

Meanwhile in Florida . . .

Can’t help but feel like if you’re going to commit a felony, one should stick with the hand at task and not get side tracked — but, what do we know?

A Jensen Beach man, Patrick Benson (34), smashed a window while breaking into a Wendy’s fast food restaurant to steal the safe.

Dude got lured by the thought of a yummy square meat patty and put the whole safe heist on pause to whip up a burger.

The security cameras caught Patrick turning on the grill and cooking himself a burger, then grabbed the safe and left.

Authorities nabbed him a few days later and charged him with burglary and grand theft.

Oddly enough, the whole eat then steal thing is kind of like dude’s M.O., because he’s been caught on camera breaking into a different restaurant and eating before he left!

No word on if he took fries with that . . .
