Darwin Olympics – A Poem: A Hiker Almost Out of Luck Goes On to Steal a Fire Truck

Meanwhile in Canada . . .

A dude named Jermaine Nichols found himself in a pickle when he went hiking late last week.

He was in a bind and needed rescue services to save his behind from a steep cliff he’d gotten stuck on.

Jermaine dialed 911 for a rescue, but his phone was way overdue for a charge and the battery died before he could give the location for help to come and save his hide.

Firefighters and paramedics drove all around to hunt for Jermaine, when out of nowhere he came . . . and STOLE a fire truck.

Authorities were like, whoa, wait, what?!

Jermaine thought he could get away but man was he wrong. Because of the search and rescue efforts for him, police had been there all along.

Officers promptly stopped the fire truck stealing hiker man; but, so far no word if Jermaine ever really needed help or if it was all part of some not-so-master plan.

Regardless as to the why, dude’s now facing charges for attempted theft and failure to comply.

Needless to say, Jermaine has not only qualified but is today our top pick in Fletch & Jai’s Darwin Olympics.
