Would You Take Less Money for Your Dream Job?

A new survey polled people on whether or not they’d be willing to take their dream job if they knew they’d be making less money than someone else doing the same job. Next level to the question: what if the person making more money doing the same job was of the opposite sex? Given that it’s your dream job, would you still take it?

65% of men said they’d still take their dream job, even if they knew they were getting paid less than their female counterparts, whereas 55% of women said they’s still take the job.

Fletch & Jai have similar opinions on this one. When it comes to the how much you get paid for doing a job, if it’s your dream job (and as long as it’s still a livable wage), they’d absolutely still take the gig. When you throw in the added question of if someone of the opposite sex was doing the same job but getting paid more, both subscribe to the belief that what coworkers make isn’t their business to begin with.
