When it comes to billionaires, Tennessee has their fair share, but who is the richest.  According to WKRN, Thomas Frist Jr. & Family is worth $20 billion.

Thanks to Stacker and Forbes, they found enough data to put together a list of all the billionaires in Tennessee.  Then they figured out who had the most money out of the 11 billionaires.

Quite a few of them live in the Nashville/Franklin area.  The rest either live in Memphis, Knoxville or Chattanooga.  Most of them made their money in either investments or technology.

Thomas made his money by starting the HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) with his father. Now, he and has family hold the title of richest family in Tennessee.

The second wealthiest person in Tennessee is Jimmy Haslam.
