Think about it . . . no, really think about it: When was the last time you hugged someone you do NOT live with?
Who was it?
According to a YouGov survey, 47% of Americans claim they have not hugged anyone — well, other than family or people they live with — since the whole COVID-19 health pandemic started.
9% of people acknowledged they have not hugged ANYONE since before it started. Some people just are not huggers — no harm, no foul there.
A few more stats . . .
23% of us have hugged someone in the last week . . . 8% hugged someone one to two weeks ago . . . and 7% claimed it has been closer to three or four weeks since last hugging someone.
Another fact in this survey found that “older people” seem to be more open to hugging right now, even though they are at a higher risk of complications from contracting the novel coronavirus causing COVID-19. 25% of people over 55 have hugged someone in the last week, whereas only 18% of adults between the ages of 18 and 24 have hugged someone they do not live with recently.
