What Would You Give Up to Never Get Sick Again?

Cold & Flu season is about to hit its peak, and chances are high that none of us will make it to the other side without at least one sicky-sniffly round of yuckiness.

According to a new survey, the average American gets sick about four times a year, with the majority being during cold & flu season.

If you had the ability to NEVER get sick again, but you had to give something up, would you (depending on what it is)?

About 2,000 people took a poll answering this very question, and here’s what they said they’d be willing to give up if it meant never getting sick again . . .

  • Social Media – 29% said they’d give it up to never get sick again.
  • Caffeine – 29% claim they’d drop caffeine from their diet if it meant never getting sick again.
  • TV/Movies – 18% of people said they’d give up the screens to never be sick again.
  • Vacation Time – 17% would turn in all of their work vacation days to never get sick again.

Other questions asked in the poll were about how we find comfort when sick — more naps . . . wearing PJs or comfier clothes . . . layer on the blankets . . . zoning out with TV . . . and eating whatever they want (including junk food) — and what we do to try to avoid getting sick — wash our hands A LOT more . . . taking vitamins/supplements . . . getting more sleep.

Last, but not least, the poll also took a look at how needy we are when we’re sick, with 45% of people admitting they get “pretty needy,” and a 33% copped to exaggerating symptoms for more sympathy.
