We are well into Copperhead season! BE CAREFUL!

We have slithered our way into the season of the copperhead snake, which is one of four venomous types in the state of Tennessee.🐍
Copperheads like to eat mice, small birds, lizards, snakes, amphibians, and insects – especially cicadas.

Data gathered by the Tennessee Department of Wildlife Resources share that fatalities from copperhead venom are extremely rare. However, medical service should be sought immediately. These types of snakes give no warning signs and strike almost immediately if they feel threatened.

Do not try to engage with the snake and leave the scene right away. Also, be cautious with your pets when outdoors.
