WATCH: “Jeopardy” Has First TIE Breaker in 45 Years

Last week, “Jeopardy” ended a regular game in a tie! It’s the first time a tie breaker was needed in 45 years.

All three contestants missed the ‘Final Jeopardy’ question, with two of them tied for first with $6,799.

And for the first time, “Jeopardy” was off to sudden death…

*Back in the day, a tie would have resulted in both parties of the tie coming back the next night as co-champions, but “Jeopardy” had a change of rules for ties.

**(UPDATED 3/6/18 @ 7:50): Who may love Jeopardy more than Jai? Beaver Listener Kellie! She posted on our Facebook Page, “Actually, ties have happened during regular games with both players returning until the change was made. Tournaments cannot have ties, so the tie breaker question was used. This is the first time a tie breaker question was used during a regular game.” Thanks for the info, friend!
