Three Items to Save on in September

September seems to be the unofficial “no money” month (aside from December’s holiday shopping), especially for parents after spending on their kids’ back-to-school stuff.

So here are three things to save money on this September:

  1. Mattresses always seem like a popular item for Labor Day sales, along with other furniture and appliances.
  2. iPhones, the older models at least, should be more affordable after Apple announces their new iPhones.  The company reportedly plans to announce the new models on September 12, bringing last year’s models down in price.
  3. Plane tickets will be going up in price for Thanksgiving and Christmas travel as early as October. September is the time to get your trips booked while cost is still low.

As for what you should hold off on buying . . .  TVs (they’ll be on sale in November for Black Friday and in January for Super Bowl.
