This woman lost her wallet in 1968

I know what it’s like to lose something all those years ago and get it back.  Just when I came to terms that I’ll never see it again, I got a message on social media saying it was found!  I lost my class ring 23 years ago and got it back just last year!

Here’s a couple of pics of my class ring!

This lady lost something important and sentimental 55 years ago!  She lost her wallet with classmates’ pictures, notes and her social security card!

Sharon Day said that she thinks she lost her wallet at a school dance in 1968.  Fast forward 55 years later, a company had purchased the old school.  The company had begun renovations on the old school to turn into apartment space.

The ducts hadn’t been disturbed for about 100 years. Workers began working on the old ductwork in the school when Sharon’s wallet fell out. There was an old shoe in there and some other things in the duct too.

When the workers found the wallet, there was something different about the wallet. They wondered if they could identify and find the person? The wallet had photos with names on the back and a social security card in it.

They ended up finding Sharon in less than a week after checking social media.

Sharon said she began to remember things about her life that she had forgotten after getting her wallet returned.

She said she was excited to get her wallet back.  She was excited to get back all her pictures of the people that she went to school with and friends, it’s something she never thought I would see again.

Sharon said she plans to put together a scrapbook of all the photos and notes found in the wallet for it to be around for another 50-plus years.
