A new study, from the BBC & a group of scientists, points out the 100 healthiest foods in the world, and while you can assume what may be in the Top 10, some other food items may surprise you.
Here they are, the 10 healthiest foods in the world:
- Almonds
- Cherimoya fruit
- Ocean perch fish
- Flatfish
- Chia seeds
- Pumpkin seeds
- Swiss chard
- Pork fat
- Beet greens
- Snapper
Some of the most popular “healthiest foods” that finished outside of the top 10 are: tangerines (14), peas (15), chili powder (25), kale (31), cherries (47), oranges (82), carrots (88), and sweet potatoes (100).
