The Monday After

Well, DST is now in full effect and wow, my body at 2:30 this morning screamed it’s just 1:30 it’s just 1:30.  So anyway I decided to google ways to help combat the DST “jet lag” so many of us are feeling today, and what I found and what will happen with most are not going to align.  So here’s what I found, a few ways to help you over the DST hump.

Get some exercise today.  Even if it’s just a brisk walk.  That can help your body crave sleep a little more tonight and compensate for that extra hour.

Skip that extra shot of caffeine later in the day because caffeine stays in your body up to 12 hours.

Don’t eat dinner too late.  Experts say try to eat at least three hours before bed.

Put your phone away.

I don’t really see me doing any of these except maybe putting the phone away.  So here’s to another DST and in the words of my wonderful loving wife, suck it up buttercup.  lol
