The King Is Dead… Again!

Las Vegas is known for their gambling, nightlife, shows and weddings.  The wedding industry brings in over $2 billion each year for Vegas according to WKYC.

Well, the news broke that Elvis impersonators can’t marry couples in Las Vegas any longer.  Authentic Brands Group owns the name & image of Elvis Presley.  They have been busy this past month sending out cease and desist letters to the wedding chapels in Vegas who have an Elvis impersonator marrying couples.

The Las Vegas Elvis Wedding Chapel, which is a family-run business, says this move will certainly hurt them.  They said it’s hard enough to compete with the larger chapels.

There was a chapel that made “their” Elvis ditch the side burns and the cape for leather jacket, jeans and a fedora.  It was turned into a “Rock n Roll” wedding.

Now, it’s back to finding Elvis at the supermarket in a small town in Arizona.
