The infamous yellow home (where the Conners live) that is shown in the opening credits of the tv show Roseanne, is actually in Evansville, In.
In the iconic show the house sits on the corner of W. Delaware St and N. Third Ave. In reality, the house sits at 619 Runnymeade Ave. Also, the show takes place in Lanford, IL, which isn’t true.
The Conners are known for going to a local bar called “The Lobo,” which you can also see in the opening credits of the show. That building is in Evansville as well and known to the locals as Talk of the Town Pizza. The church that is used in the opening credits can be seen in Evansville as well, the actual name of the church is St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Even though the actual house isn’t at the corner of Delaware and Third, there is an actual Delaware and Third corner which is also used in the opening scene.
Other than the opening scenes, nothing else was filmed in Evansville, the rest was filmed in Hollywood. If you were wondering why Evansville was chosen, the original and producer of the show, Matt Williams, is from Evansville.
