Tennessee Town Overtaken With “Whiskey Fungus”

In Lincoln County, they have Jack Daniel’s barrel houses.  Evidently, the barrels produce an ethanol vapor that is causing a fungus to grow all over everything in the town, according to Yahoo.

The mold is black and covers everything from resident’s cars, houses, street signs and more. Now, the residents are demanding some type of air filtration system.

In 2018, Jack Daniels brought some of their barrel houses to Lincoln County.  Since then, the locals have been complaining about this fungus, but nothing has been done.  Jack Daniels wants to put more houses there as well.

One resident said they spend roughly $10,000 per year just cleaning the outside of his house.  That same resident said the town gave up cleaning the street signs, they just replace them now.

These poor people are going to be forced out of their homes if something isn’t done soon.
