Study shows people can pick out their pets by their smell

Does your dog have a certain smell? Fritos? Wet dog? I know mine smell different than other dogs. I actually have noticed that!

It’s well known that dogs can pick out their owners simply by smell. It turns out that humans can do the same. Researchers at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague tested 53 dog owners to find out whether they could pick their dog’s smell out of a lineup. Each person was given jars with six gauze that had the scents of their dog and five others. Three quarters of the pet parents picked their dog’s jar. The study notes that dogs that don’t get bathed much, go outside often, and eat dry food are easier for owners to identify.

Here’s something amazing about dogs!
