Student From Clarksville Earns Gold At Karate Tournament

Who would’ve thought that the “Kung Fu Panda” movie would inspire someone to learn karate?  Well, that’ what happened to one young lady from Clarksville, according to Clarksville Now.

Ever since Kira Jones was 8 years old, she has wanted to learn karate, not only did she learn it but she dominates on the mat.  Kira just won 6 gold medals and a bronze at the World Kickboxing and Karate Union International Championship tournament held in Cardiff, Wales.

Kira is a senior in Middle College at APSU.  She is a part of a national kickboxing and karate team that compete worldwide. When she isn’t winning medals in Wales or expanding her education, she is a private coach as well for younger kids.

This young lady can do it all.  If I ever meet her, I know not to mouth off to her, she can kick my butt.
