Sounds Of Summer

I know it’s hot and sticky and the AC hardly kicks off during the day, but I do love the sounds of summer.  I don’t know why a plane flying off in the distance or the sound of a lawnmower down the road sounds homey to me but it does.  Also, cicadas.  I love the sound of the summer cicadas.  No, I’m not taking about the massive invasion, that did not happen around here, THANK GOD, but just those summer cicadas you hear every summer about this time of year.  I’m blessed with the fact I can get home most days by around 2 or 3 so most everyone else is still at work so the whole neighborhood is more or less quiet.  Moriah and I will go out to play and just hearing those summer cicadas just helps me relax.  I actually read where something like 36% of us like the that sound, others not so much.  Hey, everyone has their jam, but for right now with the heat, humidity and not a lot of rain, I will take a lazy afternoon with the summer cicadas making music because after all, cooler weather will be here before you know it.

Lawyers for Lively and Baldoni battle in a New York court despite settling claims weeks ago
