I know I have been blogging a lot about my baby girl over the past little bit but when it comes to my world, It’s God and my relationship with Jesus, and my family. With that said, this week is a HUGE praise week for my wife and I. You see, our daughter was a preemie, she wasn’t real early, 30 and 1/2 weeks I think, but when she arrived she weighed in a just a fuzz over 3 pounds. After what felt like forever in the NICU, we came home and her first doctor visit, the doc told us don’t be surprised if it takes a couple of years for her to show up on the growth/weight chart. We said OK and took our now 5 pound youngin’ home and praised God then that she seemed healthy, be it a bit small. lol Now, fast forward 3 years this week, and she just had her checkup. In height, she is in the 77 percentile, weight, she is in the 55th percentile and for her bmi, she is in the 33 percentile. Her spine is as straight as an arrow, her bp is perfect, she can carry on full conversations and is getting better with sharing why she’s feeling mad, or sad, or happy. This is not a brag, but a humble thank you to God. It didn’t have to be this way. I’ve got family and friends that’s lost a child prematurely, or have a challenge that keeps them from running, or playing like other kids. So to have a 3 year old that has two speeds, 90 and sleep (all be it only for about 4 hours at a time a lot of nights), yeah, we’ll take that. Thank you Lord Jesus she’s as healthy as a horse, and some days, eats like one too. lol
