We work, to enjoy life and to pay bills. I mean between the house, truck, phone, power, then you may have cable, more than one car payment, I mean the list can go on and on. Well yesterday after i mowed the yard, Moriah asked could we go out and play. So I thought we would go to her swing/slide but we did not. She wanted to walk around, so we looked at the leaves on the trees, watch a doe across the road munching on some grass, she noticed the clouds were moving so we had a long talk about that. But then she saw a few holes in the yard and I told her that those were probably make be a skunk or some critter looking for grubs or worms or something to eat. So instead of asking any other questions, she immediately plopped down on the ground beside that hole and started digging. I mean we probably were there 20 minutes while she dug and spread out the dirt all around just in case it had a worm or grub in it so that all the critter would have something to eat. She felt that was her responsibility to take care of the critters. So we talked about all the critters that were around and which ones may like worms and such and which ones didn’t. So while she understood the the deer wouldn’t eat the little insects, but they did eat grass she started pulling up chunks of grass and laying it out so the deer would have something too. It was just one of those sweet moments when you just think, you want to protect and keep all the stresses of life at bay as long as possible and let the biggest stress in her life be that let’s make sure the critters have plenty to eat. I loved it.
