Prime Days start today! Get a jump on that school shopping?!

The day shoppers have been waiting for has arrived. It’s Amazon Prime Day! The 10th annual summer sales event kicks off today and runs through tomorrow, offering deals and discounts in over 35 categories, including beauty, kitchen and electronics. It might be a great time to get a jump on school shopping too!

According to Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, Prime members saved more than $2.5 billion during Prime Day 2023. Here’s what shoppers need to know:

Prime Day started at 3 a.m. today and runs through tomorrow (Wednesday, July 17th).
The event is only for Prime members, and a membership is $14.99 a month or $139 for a year.
Some of the deals being offered include:
Amazon Prime Video – Up to 50% off renting or buying select shows and movies, as well as deals on certain channels through Prime Video Channels, like Crunchyroll, Starz and MGM+ for $0.99 a month for two months, and 50% off AMC+ and Paramount+ with Showtime for up to two months.
Amazon devices – The retailer says its offering its lowest price ever on some devices, including Ring Battery Doorbell Plus, Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen), Kindle Scribe and Eero Max 7 mesh Wi-Fi systems. Fire TV 2-series, Insignia 50-inch Class F30 Series Smart Fire TV with Alexa Voice Remote, Fire HD 10 tablets, and Fire HD 8 Kids are also on sale for up to 68% off.
There are also discounts from brands including Ninja, NordicTrack, Poppi Prebiotic Sodas, GoPro and Hatch.
