Police searching for escaped inmate from Todd County

TODD COUNTY, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by the Todd County Detention Center in reference to an escapee on Monday, December 5 at approximately 12:30 p.m. The inmate was on work release at the Trenton Community Center, 250 South Main Street, Trenton, KY. Trenton is 30 minutes north of Clarksville, TN. The escapee is: Donald Jay Murphy Jr. • Age: 36 • Sex: Male • Race: White • Height: 6’4” • Weight: 180 • Hair: Brown • Eyes: Blue Murphy was last seen wearing an orange shirt, brown prison jacket and possibly blue jeans. He was incarcerated on charges of Theft of Unlawful Taking Over $500, Under $10,000 and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
